Loving Reading Night

Well, I'm almost through with book #3.  Only 2 chapters left-thought I could read it during my lunch break, but alas, I had to stop, and place my book mark inside.

I remember Nathan saying a long time ago "when we were at Northeast, sometimes, I would sit in my car, outside the dorm and think 'I'll just read this last little bit of this chapter, then I'll go inside.'"  And for those of you who know Dodd well, you shouldn't have a hard time picturing this....He would stay in there for hours reading!  Right outside his dorm! ha ha ha

I always thought, "wouldn't you have been more comfortable in the confines of your cinderblock haven?"

FYI:  I wasn't feeling too sporty last night, so I skipped "Dessert & Wii Fit Night" at the Gautney's to stay home and read!

Book 2 of the YEAR Down!

So, technically, Same kind of Different As Me was started in 2008, but I completed it in 2009. Still, I'm counting it for this year.

AND last night, I finished book # 2 - Forever Christmas

Starting Book #3. I'm not sure what it will be, yet.

I've got a few ideas.....need to finish a book I started a while back - Love Not the World by Watchman Nee.  It's a very convicting book...but I have yet to finish.

If you have any suggestions, like Jodie M did, please let me know. I'm interested.

Another friend, Erin G recommended Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers, and also The Mark of the Lion Series also by Francine Rivers.

Wise Choices

Last night was the first ever READING NIGHT in the Cole household.

David was reading a book I got him for graduation...The Shadow of the Almighty.

and I completed my book The Same Kind of Different as Me.
I recommend this book to anyone...very good. It's a true story, too, so that makes me like it even more.

THEN, I started book #2 for January- Forever Christmas.  My daddy gave it to me for Christmas....

so, one of my New Year's resolutions is working out well....even though it is only 6 days into 2009.

The other news is that David and I went to the Bellevue Famly Life Center last night. I've lived in seminary housing for 14 months and I just found out in December that seminary students can use the Bellevue Baptist Church gym for free!  WHAT?!!  David said "I knew."  Well, a lot of good it did my big rumpus that YOU knew!  ha ha ah

I walked 1 mile-he ran 1 mile (show off!)

then I did the Elyptical machine for 20 minutes and he did it for 15 minutes.

THEN I said, "I'm a sissy. Can we go home now?"

New Year's Resolution #2 - will get better.
